Great place for drinks, especially for larger parties. They have lots of space.

The place has good selection of alcohol. They do not serve any food but allow you to bring outside food. Very friendly staff.

An amazing selection of beers and free pretzels! The atmosphere is cosy even though there is high ceilings and the place is very open. Really comfortable seating and good service.

This place gets a 5 star because of the music and beer selection. I walked in on a Saturday night expecting loud pop music, was pleasantly surprised when I heard them rocking upbeat 80s music at a volume that was loud enough to enjoy and hold a conversation.

Sadly chose to go on new years eve when there was the Nastiest rudest barman we have ever come across. People started leaving in their droves until we were almost the last ones left. We decided to leave. After paying he came running after us screaming abuse and throwing coins at us. He surely is a mad man. And managed to empty the place by 10 on new years eve

Bar looks fantastic, service is okay. The music could be alot better to bring in a better crowd that's for sure. It was like 70s and 80s not my cup of tea when I'm trying to get loose.But looked like others were still enjoying themselves.

Walked in late and stayed till 3:30. The bartender kept offering shots of Calvados. At the end of the night I find he charged us for them. The bill may have been inflated as I questioned the next day how two people consumed 7 doubles each of Scotch and periodic shots of brandy in two hours. Maybe we did as my right kidney still hurts three days later(see Doctor)and the hangover unfortunately will be memorable. I guess that's why we got to hold the trophy .

All the makings of a great little pub to come back to. Wide open windows in the front. Cool little booths on the back. Fantastic beer selection. Friendly and quick service. Yes, you should come here. Really the only thing missing is food.

I really enjoyed the interior environment, it's different from most of the other places I've been too. I don't know if it was just the night I was there, or just that bar tender, but the music was killer. Great beer selection, and also asked for an off menu cocktail which was no problem at all. Definitely more upscale than further down the Saint-Denis, but not too high class.

Great place to sit back and soak in some Great beer and socialize and feel like you are a part of Montréal's Heritage since this place has been here forever!

Friendly staff and good beer selection

worst service I've ever had in my entire life - the entire staff was not only bad at serving but they were rude to their customers - I overheard one of the waiters insulting one of the customers in his face in front of everyone - unacceptable. Will never step foot in this place ever again and will make sure every single person I know, knows how I feel about it and never goes there.

Ok place for casual drinks in a « bistro-like » atmosphere where you can hear speak. Large selection of imported beers at regular Montreal prices.However the bar is often almost empty so it may be better to go somewhere else if you want to party hard or meet new people. It is conveniently located near plenty of great restaurants so to me it’s main appeal is post-diner drinks with friends or a date after eating out.

Went to this energetic bar on Saturday night, and had an amazing time. Shout out to our server, Yves, for being a delight, an overall gem of a person and for helping get rid of my hiccups with a neat trick that I will use in the future🤗Great experience!

The sensual red lighting makes me want to either get down and funky or order tasty velvet cupcakes to my table... Both of which are allowed at this bar.

Spooky red bar

Nice atmosphere with good mood lighting. It's very large, so if you have a big group it would be great. There's mostly beer options but they do have wine and cocktails. Its a bit expensive for what it is though. Also, the waitress brought our group one check instead of separate checks which was a little weird and quite a hassle.

Went on a sunny early spring afternoon. Nice space, good service and a large selection of beers on tap for reasonable prices.

Rustic feeling, the architecture is part of the experience. Sitting there gives you a look of the inside of a Piano. You can call it a sports bar though, however the bar looks like a piano and the walls mimic a piano strings. Nevertheless the barmaid is awesome...

I came here with my friend in late May and we both got charged twice on our debit/credit cards. My friend's bank apparently pulled back the excess payment but mine didn't. Please let me know how this can be settled. Thanks!

Bar L'Barouf has a great beer selection and is the kind of bar that you wish you had in your own neighborhood.

If you're looking for a bar that has a relaxed atmosphere and alot of good people this is the place for you. If you're hungry and want something specific no worries cause you can bring your own food. The staff is awesome. This is a place you should check out and you will fall in love with what it has to offer.

Very nice bar

Waiter was friendly but orders took long. We ended up going to the bar to make our own orders. Hostile barmaid. Refused to make shot that we requested. Won't be going back

Good place to hang out after diner on Plateau. Cosy atmosphere, nice and warm lighting. They have some music but it's not loud and we can hear ourselfves quite easily. Large selection of beer and drinks. Not too crowded.
